BACKSTAGE on the King’s Road
Anybody with a heart feels for and supports Ukraine in relation to the
turmoil of the past three years. You can’t help but empathise with the
country in this di昀케cult time which has just in the last couple of weeks
been further compounded and complicated by geopolitical changes that
are ongoing at the moment. Tragedy aside, one thing KCR readers may
not be aware of is the universal respect for the Ukrainian beauty industry in that it has always been celebrated for its innovation and exceptional standards. Those standards are abundantly palpable at Backstage,
a new LONDON branch of the largest beauty salon in Kiev, located on
our very own King’s Road. With over 15 years of experience at the highest levels, Backstage are proud to bring their expertise and top-level care
to the capital with a mission to providing a one-stop-haven for amazing
beauty and hair treatments whilst soaking up relaxation, refreshment
and enjoyment in terms of the superb ambience, plentiful amenities
and world-class professionals who come together most e昀昀ectively as a
team. Having launched in December last year, BACKSTAGE has quickly
attracted the attention of locals and we decided to test-out its allure!
BACKSTAGE o昀昀ers premium hair, makeup and nail services plus men’s

luxury. It is a vast, purpose-built space with a gloriously busy atmosphere that, true to its name, is akin to being backstage at an important
and rather Paris Fashion Week show for instance- and all on arguably
the greatest and most well-known thoroughfare in not just Kensington
and Chelsea but London itself!! Most amazingly, the busyness adds to
the overall experience and is not in any way disruptive to the relaxation which is a sacred tenet of the salon. Moving on to the other rather
important part of BACKSTAGE - the remarkable artists and professionals that make the entire formula tick! Right from the friendly and
helpful front-desk personnel to the various master specialists a the top,
the salon believes in pampering the patrons to keep them ringing back
again and again! I went in with an open mind and was a昀昀orded some
bewitchingly pertinent advise - pre-cut, during and after the treatment by a young Ukrainian stylist who also apprised me of her noble intention
of getting her mother over to London from her war-torn country. Her
smile didn’t dither whilst discussing her poignant wish. I left the salon
looking, quite simply, AMAZING all whilst being pampered to bits by
the wonderful people at BACKSTAGE.
