Volvo XC60: Smarter, Faster, and
More Luxurious
Volvo’s best-selling XC60 SUV has been reimagined for the upcoming model year, with a host of upgrades that re昀椀ne its design, elevate
its technology, and enhance comfort. With a faster, more responsive
infotainment system and key improvements across the broader model
range, the refreshed XC60 sets a new benchmark for mid-size luxury
SUVs.
Since its launch in 2017, the XC60 has remained Volvo’s top-selling
model, solidifying its reputation as one of the most popular plug-in hybrids in Europe. More than 1.5 million units have been sold worldwide,
and 2024 marked an all-time sales record.
According to Erik Severinson, Chief Product and Strategy O昀케cer at
Volvo Cars, the latest upgrades are a direct response to customer needs.
“With its cutting-edge user experience, modernised Scandinavian design, and even greater interior luxury, the new XC60 raises the standard
for mid-size SUVs. The improvements focus on what matters most to
our customers, ensuring a more enjoyable, exclusive driving experience
that will continue to evolve over time, thanks to over-the-air updates.”
The refreshed XC60 is available to order now in selected markets, while
the 2026 model-year versions will roll out at di昀昀erent times depending
on location.
At the heart of the new XC60 is Volvo’s next-generation user experience
(UX), which has been designed to make interactions with the vehicle’s
infotainment system safer, smarter, and more intuitive. The brand-new
interface is not only more focused and personalised than its predecessor
but also integrates several built-in Google services, making it a seamless
companion for modern driving. From 2024 onwards, all Volvo models
will come equipped with this advanced UX, and in an unprecedented
move, the company is rolling it out as an over-the-air update to 2.5
million existing customers worldwide.

options and darker rear lights give the SUV a more contemporary

a sleek, re昀椀ned metallic shade; and Mulberry Red, which is being
o昀昀ered on the XC60 for the 昀椀rst time.

materials, including Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave,

charger, and a 昀氀exible, spacious load compartment that enhances
everyday usability.

every journey is more serene and relaxing. The legendary seat comfort
that Volvo is known for remains a standard feature, but for those
seeking the ultimate in luxury, optional air suspension and laminated
windows are available to create an ultra-smooth ride. Additionally, the state-of-the-art air puri昀椀cation technology ensures cleaner,
healthier air within the cabin, promoting overall well-being.
For music lovers, the Bowers & Wilkins High-Fidelity Sound System
delivers one of the best in-car audio experiences available. Featuring a
new speaker mesh design, it produces a level of clarity and depth that
allows listeners to experience music exactly as the artist intended.
Whether it’s classical symphonies or bass-heavy beats, the system recreates sound with studio-quality precision, transforming every drive
into an immersive experience.
One of the most striking upgrades in the refreshed XC60 is its new 11.2inch 昀氀oating central touchscreen, which enhances the digital experience
with 21 per cent higher pixel density, resulting in a sharper, crisper display. But the improvements don’t stop there. Thanks to the integration
of Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, the infotainment system is now twice as fast as before, with 10 times faster graphics
rendering. This not only creates a smoother, more responsive experience but also ensures that essential driving information is displayed at
the right time, reducing distractions and improving overall safety.
