Forthcoming Sale at Olympia Auctions
Olympa Auctions’ Pictures Department has grown further with Nick Hemming-Brown joining the team (from Sotheby’s - along with most of the
experts here). Nick has created the new ‘London Sale’ taking place on 8th July, celebrating all things London. As a proud London auction house,
this sale is both a tribute and an invitation: a tribute to the city’s unparalleled cultural legacy, and an invitation to rediscover London in all its forms.
Nick is inviting works from London’s literary and artistic scene - from Charles Dickens to Vanessa Bell, to David Hockney and Damien Hirst as well
as iconic objects such as tube maps, historic maps of London, architectural drawings and design of the city’s distinctive landscape. The timing of the
auction has been chosen to coincide with Treasure House Fair in Chelsea, positioning the sale at the heart of a period of heightened collector activity
and global attention on London.
