Mallorcan Luxury at Za昀椀ro Palaxe
Palmanova
We recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Za昀椀ro Palace Palmanova
Hotel. First things 昀椀rst: Perfect Location, it being just a short walk from
the beach and also within easy reach of the main city Palma and it’s
attractions. The property itself is extremely spacious and designed so as
to never feel crowded even during high season. It really is one of those
destination hotels where the superbly-welcoming sta昀昀 and tranquil ambience is good enough to spend the entire holiday within the hotel itself.
Venturing out, however, is something that’s de昀椀nitely advisable with
Mallorca as a whole and the city of Palma being such a beautiful and
interesting place to visit. From ancient history to wonderful beaches,
from museums and art galleries to 昀椀ve star shopping, all is available in
Palma just a twenty minute drive from Za昀椀ro Palace. However, Within
the vicinity of Palmanova itself, beaches abound and a robust nightlife
beckons with many bars and restaurants waiting to warmly welcome
you.
ACCOMODATION
The rooms and suites at the hotel are top-notch and we stayed in was
tastefully designed and spaciously appointed with patio doors opening
onto our very own private pool area. Waking up in the morning and
having only to take just a few steps for a morning dip is de昀椀nitely a habit
one could get used to. With subtle lighting, a luxurious bathroom and
tasteful furnishing, the room was a joy to stay in.
DINING
A wide range of dining options are available at Za昀椀ro Palace Palmanova
and the 昀椀ve restaurants on site make sure that every taste is catered
for. At the Mediterranean El Olivo, garlic Prawns with Crystal Bread
provided a perfect starter fat followed by a succulent main course of
Cod with Black Aioli (served with pu昀昀ed rice and carrot) that melted in
the mouth. A dessert of Mallorcan sponge cake topped with almond ice
cream made a perfect 昀椀nish to the meal.
The Tastes and Sushi Bar Restaurant was a real treat serving a wide
range of sushi based cuisine. The starter of Beef and Pumpkin Korroke
provided the perfect prequel to a sixteen piece sushi platter main course
that showcased a dizzying selection of Nigiri, Futomaki and Hosomaki
Rolls with Yuzu Ice cream to 昀椀nish.
The Italian themed cuisine at El Portico is pectacular too with roasted
Aubergine with 昀椀gs and ricotta provide a wonderful introduction to a
beautiful main course of Tagliatelle AI Gamberetti followed by a dessert
of pineapple slices and caviar.
El Portico however boasts a wide ranging menu including a recommended Risotto Funghi Porcini and an outstanding Vegetarian Pizza. Much to
admire here!
The Gourmet Bu昀昀et Market Restaurant is perfect for either Breakfast
Lunch or Dinner with the added advantage of not having to wait at
all for your food. (Not that the waiter service is anything other than
exemplary at each of the on site restaurants). It has a bright airy relaxed
atmosphere and a great selection of dishes to tempt any pallette.
Finally the wonderful Veranda Restaurant beautifully located next to
the main pool o昀昀ers the perfect alfresco dining experience. Starting with
the exquisite Braised Salmon followed by an equally impressive Sirloin
Steak main and aCrema Catalana dessert, this is de昀椀nitely not one to
miss!
SPA
The Spa located on the lower ground 昀氀oor of the Hotel is spacious and
beautifully designed to instantly create a relaxed atmosphere. An extensive menu of treatments and therapies are available here all approved
by Germaine de Capuccini herself. Whether you opt for a massage to 昀椀ll
you with an overall aura of wellbeing and peace or a facial to dispel any
signs of fatigue that will also rehydrate and revitalise you, the treatments here are as bene昀椀cial as they are enjoyable.

ENTERTAINMENT
Each evening professional entertainers, singers and tribute artists
perform in the main bar area, helpin to make yours a memorable stay.
As this is very much a family hotel there are also many activities for
children throughout the day as well as a playground area and children’s
swimming pool with pirate ship!
The Za昀椀ro Palace Palmanova is an exceptional, family-friendly place to
stay with it’s luxurious and exclusive details making it a wonderful place
to relax and recharge. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the
beautiful Island of Mallorca.
