From Kensington & Chelsea to the
Côte d’Azur
With an interior design career spanning more than three decades,
Juliette Byrne is a de昀椀ning 昀椀gure in British interior design. From her
Chelsea studio based on the Kings Road, Juliette and her team create
elegant, highly tailored interiors for a discerning international clientele. Projects stretch from the heart of Kensington & Chelsea, Mayfair
to the sun-drenched coast of Cannes and beyond. As well as designing
exceptional homes in the UK, Juliette frequently supports clients with
relocations and the creation of second homes abroad guiding them
through every step of the process to ensure a seamless transition.
A graduate of the Chelsea School of Art and an alumna of the Conran
Group, Juliette launched Juliette Byrne Interiors in 1988. Since then,
her portfolio has encompassed London townhouses, country estates,
superyachts, and homes abroad, each re昀氀ecting her hallmark blend of
sophistication, warmth, and functionality.
and elegant light 昀椀xtures. Decorative panelling, antique mirrors, custom
cornicing and 昀椀ne window treatments elevate the home. The result is a
warm, sophisticated pied-à-terre in Chelsea, perfectly balanced between
classic grandeur and contemporary comfort.
“Design is never just about aesthetics,” Byrne re昀氀ects. “It’s about how
people want to live and how a home can support that vision with grace
and authenticity.” Byrne’s focus is always on creating timeless spaces
that feel as good as they look.
Beyond London, Juliette Byrne is the designer clients trust when creating a home abroad. A warming chalet created recently in Mont Blanc
features layered textures from woven tweeds to fur cushions. Making
the space as inviting as it is dramatic, while bespoke elements like a
vaulted wine cellar and individually styled guest rooms bring a sense of
intimacy and craftsmanship. In Cannes, an 18th-century apartment was
restored with original parquet and co昀昀ered ceilings, then layered in pale
panelling, sculptural hardware and metal accents for a light, contemporary feel. Tateyama curved sofa by Secolo, Eichholtz boucle armchairs
and sculptural console tables were chosen to complement the historic
bones while adding softness and Riviera glamour.
Juliette Byrne’s portfolio sweeps from the leafy streets of Chelsea to
the glittering Côte d’Azur, a testament to her skill in creating homes for
clients both in London and abroad, often guiding clients through relocations and the complexities of establishing a new lifestyle.

In Pied à Terre, Sloane Square, Juliette Byrne transformed a once-rented apartment into a luxurious London base for a family, retaining the
layout but re昀椀ning every detail. The main living area was split into three
coherent zones, kitchen/bar, main seating with bespoke joinery, and a
banquette dining space, all uni昀椀ed with feature wallpapers, soft fabrics
KENSINGTON & CHELSEA REVIEW
In Grand Residence, Chelsea, Juliette Byrne transformed a former launderette into a 昀椀ve-storey family home designed for modern living and
entertaining. The property now features 昀椀ve bedrooms, two reception
rooms, dual dining areas, home o昀케ces, terraces, and a walk-in wine
store. Neutral walls and window dressings maximise natural light, while
bold marble in the bespoke bar and kitchen add drama, highlighted by
integrated lighting. Accents of coral, orange and ochre in the furnishings
bring warmth and energy, perfectly balancing elegance with a welcoming, social spirit.
